Song of the South isn't banned in America. Disney is just to wussy to re-release it, even though they had no problem re-releasing their shorts from the 30's and 40's onto DVD, and some of them had content that's far more offensive than anything in SoS. And yet they'll still happily make money off of SoS by including its characters in Splash Mountain.
