AaaAA not to put anyone else down, but Catling is just one of those artists that you see and are immediately a fan of, at least for me! The moment I found her page it was an instant watch and I knew I had to commission her. She's a pretty busy person it turns out, but every now and again she opens her commission slots and I was able to contact her in time!

I ADORE this idea and absolutely want to get more of it. Catling was a fan of Penelope being a fashion model, and after some back and forth chatting she proposed doing a magazine cover for a fashion magazine. Perfect! That's one of her characters Adrian that's standing next to Penelope in the center shot, we both agreed that it's very rare for one person to be featured in every cell of a front page for a magazine like this.

I LOVE the variety here so much! Sketch pages are my favorite type of commission to get, but having it all arranged in such a fun way is just neat! I really adore the bottom left outfit for Penelope, it's something she could easily be found wearing when she's on her own time, but gosh all of these are so good! I adore the expression she's making at the bottom right ;_;

Anyway yeah Catling's style just calls to me and I think she draws Penelope SO well. Soft and refined, radiating with cute even when depicting serious topics. She's just one of those artists that I'll commission any time I conceivably can...
