Birdz[/i] was a Saturday Morning Cartoon series that aired in Fall 1998 on CBS. It had 13 episodes in which focused primarily on Eddie Storkowitz, and his misadventures in learning life lessons most children deal with in their transition into becoming a Pre-Teen. . However it also had a large number of sub plots that played out through the course of each episode that revolved around Eddie’s father, mother, older sister, and younger sister.

Stephanie, Stephy, Storkowitz is the oldest child of Morty & Betty Storkowitz. She is a teenager, whose age and grade level in school is not canonically mentioned, who is not afraid to do whatever she must to preserve and protect the environment. This often results in her being brought home by Officer Pigeon when she crosses the line between peaceful protest and criminal mischief.

Despite her pension for going a bit too far in her efforts to protect the planet, Stephy is a typical teenager who is making the tough transition from teen to young adult. She is bothered by her brother, Eddie, while seeking to mentor her baby sister, Abby. Stephy also has far more respect for her mother, Betty, as is often shown through her regular disagreements with her father, Morty.

Unlike other members of the Storkowitz family, Stephy does not have any notable character growth throughout the 13 episode series. Her portrayal and interactions with her family, friends, and Eddie’s friends is what you’d expect from a strong-willed High School student who is preparing to leave the proverbial nest.

If there had been a Season 2 of Birdz[/i] it would have likely featured an ongoing ‘B Plot’, which is what was done with Mr. Nuthatch between Episodes 1 and 10, where the show’s protagonist, Eddie Storkowitz, is the primary focus of each episode’s plot while Stephanie’s character growth occurs in random intervals throughout the entirety of the show’s 2nd Season.
