Yes another Sharky ref, I know, but I reckon this will be the real one. Art was done by
SmexyOryx who also did the first ref. I like their style and had then do a new Sharky since experience commissioning art has made me realize more what I want, and has also taught me how to express better what I desire.

So this is the 3rd ref of Sharky I have, and the most current and accurate one. The 2nd ref, while artistically good and I still like how it turned out with the artist doing everything I asked, was made for the wrong reasons. I won't go into depth about it but I did learn good lessons from the experience.
Sharky is my "me" character, my main 'sona, so he shares the most with me of all my characters and basically is me.
Sharky tends to shy away from larger crowds, preferring to spend his time with small groups of close friends, and particularly enjoys one-on-one conversation and activities. This results in him generally avoiding going to social-focused places such as bars, pubs, taverns, nightclubs, and discotheques. Him being a teetotaler, someone who abstains from any consumption of drugs or alcohol, only aids in this avoidance. He does not fault those who do partake though, as he respects that people are of their own free will. Sharky tends to try and avoid conflict, though he can be rather unsuccessful at this as he feels a strong need to play the Devil's advocate. This is the result of a substantial amount of bullying he received in his youth, leaving him feeling defenseless many times with nobody coming to his aid, a feeling he wishes on nobody.
Sharky was born into a fairly average middle class nuclear family with his birth mother and birth father. His sibling would come into his life while he was still young, though the two are separated by a greater age gap than average. He gets along well with his family, including most of his extended family, though him and his brother got off to a rocky start. While Sharky excelled academically in school, he was never well liked by his teachers or peers and would often get disciplined unjustly when a student fabricated a tale of how Sharky did something that violated rules. This got him in serious trouble in post-secondary education, as the institution he entered heavily encouraged peer grading and he would almost always be graded unfavorably by those he was assigned to work with. This resulted in him having many soft failures, where he would technically pass a course due to his performance on exams, however many classes required more than just a pass in the prerequisite. He was asked to leave the university after this pattern of soft failures was recognized. This was a dark time in his life. He became very paranoid, always looking over his shoulder in fear that any passerby on the streets might wish to do him harm. Sharky would go on to find minor success in working for the family construction business in an office position, though he was not particularly useful due to his lack of training, education and experience in the field. After moving in with his mate Sunset, Sharky left his job at the family business and spends a large deal of time working on Sunset's extensive list of personal tasks that she wants achieved but does not have time to do. He does help with Sunset's business endeavors when she needs someone she can trust at the highest level, though something that specific rarely crops up.
Most of Sharky's life revolves around cars, whether it be working on them, going to car shows, watching various motorsports (Formula 1 being the one he follows the closest), or playing racing video games. Sharky tends to appreciate most types of car, though he has definite preferences for certain Japanese models with his dream car being, very specifically, a 1995 Toyota Supra RZ-S. He grows very sentimentally attached to his cars and does his best to keep them in good condition, but that doesn't stop him from making modifications to improve various aspects of each vehicle. Sharky's secondary hobby is firearms, which he indulges in sparsely, preferring to have a few high quality rifles and shotguns, and not being the most fond of handguns. Most of the firearms you would see Sharky with actually belong to his mate, Sunset, who is an American and thus has much more access to firearms than being Canadian allows Sharky.
Sharky's media tastes are not what most expect of him, and can vary wildly from day to day, or even song to song on a playlist. It is not uncommon for him to follow brutal death metal with eurobeat one after the other in a playlist, even throwing in some modern country from time to time. Most of his listening, however, comprises of power metal, the faster and more nonsensical the better. Why yes, he does like Dragonforce. As for television and movies, Sharky mostly enjoys automotive media, such as car review shows and motorsport, as well as car-focused movies such as The Cannonball Run. He also enjoys more comedic movies, provided they have some story to them. Sharky is quite averse to horror movies, and to movies that take themselves too seriously.
Sharky had always had difficulty in romantic relationships until he met Sunset, his first ever mate and likely his last, as neither of them see themselves splitting in the foreseeable future. Though they are very close and love each other deeply, this is not to say that everything is perfect. Sharky is very insecure about the relationship, constantly wondering why Sunset has any reason to like him the way she does, since he feels like she contributes much more than he does. Their relationship is semi-open, in that they are allowed to be open with others provided the other approves, and that everything is disclosed to all parties involved. This system has worked well for them, and they spend as much time with each other as they can. Even when Sunset has to travel and they are separated by masses of land and ocean, they will still video call each other daily. Sharky also has a very close relationship with Krystil, who has managed to integrate well with Sunset and is almost a second mate to Sharky.
Sharky's extended family is very large, though he has a small selection of close friends. His immediate friends begin with his mate Sunset, a female bottlenose dolphin from South Carolina who he met in the parking lot of a car show. Sunset later would introduce him into her friend/family group consisting of her bottlenose dolphin step-brother Starchaser from New Zealand, Starchaser's Canadian orca husband Horizon, Sunset's ex-Finnish now Canadian male arctic wolf friend Sebastian, and Sebastian's close red and gold male common dragon friend Shinigami. Sharky would later meet the blue and gold herm dragoness Krystil while he and Sunset were on a picnic date in the mountains.
