Another case of lineart by hand, paint by computer. There's no particular story in my mind about this one that isn't told in the picture itself. The image for something military like this I think can be blamed on the fact that I've been reading the 'Halo' novels lately.

Edit: I've since decided that these guys are members of the Argothae Provisional Armed Forces. The unseen enemy they're fighting against are the Veros, who tried to invade their world after conquering Tavros. Not realizing that despite their choice of a simple lifestyle, the Argothae were quite technologically advanced. Several thousand Argothae were captured as slaves, but once they reindustrialized and formed a military infrastructure they pushed back hard.
