Original Species: Elysian Dreadclaw
The Elysian Dreadclaw is species of therizinosaurid native to, as the name implies, the continent of Elysium. It inhabits the dense and swampy forests in the northeastern part of the continent. While it is generally a peaceful animal, it doesn't take much to agitate it. Whenever it feels threatened or pestered, this 4-ton herbivore is quick to deploy its massive claws and relentlessly slash at whatever got in its way.
If left well alone and given a wide birth when going through the woods, the Dreadclaw will prefer to focus on eating leaves and mushrooms while ignoring everything else.
The only time when this beast seeks out any form of company is during the mating season. During the latter months of winter, the males will show off the vibrant plumage adorning their heads. The more vibrant and colorful the feathers, the more likely it will be for the male to find a suitable mate. By early spring, the female will lay a clutch of 5 to 10 eggs which will then be left in the care of the male who will then be the sole provider for the young.
By late spring/early summer, the eggs will hatch and the chicks will be set on a timer to grow and fatten up as much as possible by the end of autumn. Then, the father will leave them be and go to continue his mostly solitary lifestyle.
