This is a narrative that really means something to me.
I used to follow the Christian faith a little when I was younger. My aunt and uncle are pretty religious, so when I came to stay at their house for the weekend we would all go to church on Sunday.
Well, as I got older my life fell to pieces. I tried all I could to pick everything up, and as soon as I put a smile on my face (as fake as it may have been at times) something would happen to me to bring me back down.
So, I would always ask this God, "Where are you?" or "Why aren't you helping?" and even if I prayed things would only get worse. Eventually, my mind set was, "Am I just here for you to laugh at me?!" and sometimes I still feel this way.
I still believe there is something or someone out there, but these days I take more scientific approaches.

Went through the same exact thing, except replace aunt and uncle with grandmother and add vacation bible school. Though in the end I suppose the silver lining to it all is that it's made me look at other religions and learn how they do. It's interesting to learn other faiths but I still don't get why people cling to them like they do...
Yeah, I learn about other religions too. They're all really interesting. I used to be Wiccan a few years ago, actually, after I decided Christianity was so ridiculous to me. In the end, it all has its quarks though. I would rather have knowledge in them than follow them, to be honest.
