One of these things just doesn't belong here, one of these things just doesn't quite fit...
As an exercise, I tried drawing some other famous owls :} Owl from Winnie the Pooh, Archimedes from The Sword in the Stone and Big Mama from The Fox and the Hound...
This was sort of to see how well Muchi might fit in with her more professionally designed counterparts. I'm still a way away from making a living at this, but it's still fun to play with.
The background is this image tweaked. I found it on Google.
I didn't include the owl from Bambi because he's creepy looking :p

All the better. Queen Latifah is a stunning and beautiful woman whose voice is just as big loud and sexy.
I love it when big women have such big and beautiful voices to match their own.
I wish I had a big loud awesome voice. :| Personally I don't like singing in front of people, but when I -do- sing to myself out of boredom...the voice seems like it doesn't match my own looks x) Sorta too soprano... ( <-- lol is that even proper english? sounds weird... sorta too soprano xD)
I'm gonna have to look her up after class and see if she went big on singing or made a record or anything. The name sounds familiar so I bet she did...

Hee, yeah I'm rather fond of that type of voice too. It's a good strong voice. I'm honestly tired of females in animations either sounding on the verge of tears or toting the 'Valley Girl' accent.
Sometimes I like my voice... though I do sound a bit 'special' when I'm focusing on something else. Well, I call it slow. My mother says I just sound very relaxed. But she's my mother, she has to be kind about her poor derpy daughter :B There's a law or something. I've been told I sing well though, so that's nice!

My fiance thinks I sing well. One day he and I were talking on the phone and I started randomly singing...I don't remember which song. I think it was either 'Still Alive' or something else... ( lol) but yeah. He loved it and i was like D: -hide-

Heh, cheers. I went through Google looking for references but this was, I think the third (?) sketch I did before I was happy with the styles. Big Mama's wings gave me trouble, and I still don't think Archimedes is quite right. Also, Google cannot seem to decide on Owl's colouration! Sometimes the underside of his wing is a dark brown, sometimes light brown, sometimes cream... D: Errr... (/ramble)

I've not seen it in a while... Did see Fox and the Hound rather recently, I think that might've been partially responsible for this... o.o
I love the scratchy style too - like Archie's brows... :} They're all scribbly! I really miss that older style of animation. I won't start rambling about how newer animations lack personality though. That may start an argument, or worse, a big wall of boring text! :}
You actually capture the old style Bluth charm really well though - so thankfully it's not lost! :B

hm.. rockadoodle was a GoldCrest Film or something like that x3 and yesh, your owls are simply amazing... oo and another owl that i remember is the one from Once Upon A Forest.... dude had one blind eye and didn't speak though. He did try to eat the heroes of the film by capturing abigail
