Totodile wasn't really known for inflating others. That scene in particular always has been Kingdra inflating themself because Ash's Totodile just got in the way of firing the move at them. If anything, Totodile was moreso happily surprised with the extra effect. It would only be their own medicine if they would do this kinda thing left and right all the time. <X3

I'm biased. I think this particular Totodile is a really lovable and jolly entertainer and cheerful personality. Inspired my own Totodile mascot a bunch who I had hopes of that Red might draw at some point but I guess this Totodile came first. <X3
