Wow, cool costume. Have you taken it out to any local Renaissance fairs?

Not yet, maybe I will do it one day, but I need to do an outfit for that first.

At least to the fairs I go to there is lots of belly dancers. That outfit would be more than killer enough.

Here, some people are kind of elitist (or totally stupid to some levels) when it touch the subject of costums during ren fairs and will try to discredit you or your work because it's not their vision of what a costum in a ren fair should be. Some of my friends have already got comments because some of their clothes were sew by machine instead of hands, or with modern fabrics instead of naturals one. But the thing that they didn't know was they weren't even in costume but just dressed like that for almost everyday life or any event ren fair or not. For those people if you're in costume at that kind of fair, it shall be extremly acurate, but they tend to forget that not every people want to do historical reenactement but just want to have fun with their friends.

Ah, I know the type. The fair I attend is fairly loose. I went as ash from fantastic mr. fox on Halloween You just need to find a fair thats a little more fantasy and a lot less reenactment. It's more fun for everybody.
