A follow up piece to https://www.furaffinity.net/view/38397862/ . Ethyl teams up once again with the Legendary Dragon Warrior Arix Ordragc. While traveling through a stone canyon they come across a warrior bathed in light. At first they thought they had stumbled upon a noble paladin but something was off about him. The paladin was being controlled by some dark being hiding in the canyon. Ethyl points out that the Paladin was without a helmet and perhaps if Arix loaned the Paladin his helm then perhaps the influence would pass. Arix takes off his helm and offers it to the paladin. Instead of taking it the Paladin swings his warhammer hard enough to almost smash the helm. Not taking any more chances Arix readies his sword and shield. "Get behind me. I'll be your sword." Arix declares to Ethyl. Ethyl was already behind him and soon spots the Paladin casting his Smite on Arix. In quick reaction Arix raises his shield to block. Ethyl also responds by casting a spell to empower his shield to absorb the spell. The smite gets absorbed by Arix's shield and gives him a stamina boost. Ethyl smirks. "And I'll be your shield!" she says to Arix.
