This was supposed to be different, but it didn't turn out that way and I'm not sufficiently in love with the concept to pursue it further. Either way, I sometimes genuinely wonder what the hell I'm still doing here =_=

The way I interpret this is:
We go to conventions, dressing up as cute animal people, yet we, as people, might have some serious personal issues that we hide with that cute exterior. Hence, the liquid oozing from the seams of the fursuits.
Why a convention? This scene is remarkably similar to the main hotel lobby of a particular major european furry convention.

Yeah, there's some aspects of the fandom I could do without. But seeing as I'm just one guy, there ain't much I can do on my own, except to choose who I hang out with. I can only hope enough people are willing and able to exert social pressure on the rest to fix the problems and improve things in general. Pretending things are all hunky-dory really isn't working.
If you mean FA.. I can't answer that as every furry has a different reason for being a furry and coming here.
