This is a work in progress for  Archir's contesty thing. I didn't want to go two days without posting anything. Last night was a learning experience that I felt wasn't worth posting, nor up to my standards. Tonight, I got side tracked. Tomorrow, I'll be sidetracked as well.

I learned a few things:
1) Don't use dark, dark tones as a base when you don't know how to use highlights to shade and give definition properly.
2) Hands're hard.
3) Wings're hard, 'cause they've got hands.
4) I should do more faces / headshots, but I want to expand rather then focus.

So, yes. This will eventually be quite a bit darker as far as scale tone goes; The purple is so that its bright enough to see what I'm doing. This also offers some insight into how I doodle.

Normally, I don't do the background first, but after a lesson learned with the tail I did about colors bleeding through from opacity, or lack there of, I figured it might be a good idea this time around. I might redo the clouds some. I'm not sure.
