I was having trouble coming up with something for this one, honestly. ^_^;
princegerafeld requested snakes, which was a perfectly 'cromulent' (if you get the reference, bless you, otherwise just pretend I'm making crap up) request! I, despite having a few snake characters of my own, couldn't come up with anything that really wanted to be drawn!
After a few failed ideas and attempts, I decided to come up with an entirely new story. The subject matter is dark, but hopeful. I hope this is ok, your majesty!! T_T;; I know it's not exactly bright and cheerful as gifts go.
So here's the explanation: The python is a member of a peaceful tribe of snake morphs. He and that youngling are very good friends, but they're from different tribes.
The youngling's tribe is very warlike, and they dislike having 'enemies' in their territory, let alone associating with their younglings. They captured the python to punish him for his transgression, but the youngling has come to set him free.
Maybe he'll run away and join the other tribe... Otherwise, he's in for a lot of trouble... Either way, this can't end without a fight. Angst ensues.

Indeed~ There aren't too many really good ways of holding a snake. That one is pretty much "Squirm to escape and you'll end up with more wounds than you can easily heal."
Since snakes don't have the same sort of constantly growing and regenerating skin that some animals do, they can be really slow to heal punctures and stab wounds. I always worried about my rat snake when we fed him live food, because a mouse can do a lot of damage to a snake if it gets the opportunity. Scary stuff.
That was the idea behind those bonds, anyway ^_^;

My pythons and I offer our assistance: My fence post puller ought to do the job in about 30 seconds, but if that isn't adequate, I've got a couple of 20 ton hydraulic jacks that I've used to move a building...
