**** THESE ARE RAW TRACKS WITH NO POST PROCESSING****
I'm happy to say I made more progress on my ep after a long creative block of trying to write lead guitar and bass parts for it. I finally got all the lead tracks written and the raw di tracked and edited a little while ago. After I got that done I had a big assortment of recording gear come in and took time to test things out including a new amp, new speaker cabinet, and some new microphones all featured in those 5150 raw demo's.
After I did a fair amount of testing and setup work I was ready to reamp all the final lead tracks for my ep and get the best raw tracks possible. After all that time I think I ended up with some really good raw guitar travks that won't need much in terms of post eq and other processing.
The signal path is as follows:
Epiphone Les Paul Special ii (dragonfire humbucker in bridge), maxon 808x [gain: 0 Level: full], TC Sentry Noise Gate, Marshall JCM 2000 DSL 50 on the ultra gain channel set to lead 1 with all the knobs at 6, volume at 2, deep switch in, then to a Harley Benton 212 cabinet loaded with celestion vintage 30 speakers, mic'ed with a lewitt lct 240 and mtp 440 roughly on the edge of the dust cap of the speaker.
