Now at the edge of the wetlands, Sherryl gets cold feet. Can't fault her though, even though she's prepared for this impromptu hike in theory, bog-trotting is way outside her wheelhouse, much less doing it in brand-new sandals (she'll have to be reminded that they were picked because they're all-plastic and thus water and mud-proof). However, Tina knows something that will motivate her...
Technical:
Definitely a darker look than the previous pages. The setting is an open area within parkland that surrounds both sides of a swath of wetland bisected by a shallow river. Tina and Sherryl are standing at the edge of the clearing, which is why there's forest behind Sherryl, but grasses and water behind Tina. Also, the lighting is such that most of it is coming from behind Tina, casting her face in shadow while Sherryl's is lit from in front for the most part.
To accomplish this, I magic-wand selected all of the characters' flat colors (joining them across lineart with the lasso tool) and flood-filled them with medium gray on a shadow layer set to Multiply, then used the airbrush to feather white onto all the areas that were to remain lit. The fog was simply airbrushed light gray on its own layer, with areas farther from the camera receiving a heavier coat than those nearer to the foreground.
The phone in the last panel is showing a screenshot taken from my own phone on the National Weather Service radar page during a bout of thunderstorms conveniently pushing through my area. The image was cropped then perspective-skewed to fit the phone screen using the Transform tool
Digital drawing done in Clip Studio Paint EX. 29 layers including text objects, 31MB .CLIP file. Part of Project ID# 507

This definitely looks amazing, and you definitely did an amazing job, all the details are perfect and nothing is out of place plus, this shows just how amazing of an artist you are, since this looks plain amazing and nothing is out of place, and it’s obvious that you worked hard to become an amazing artist.
The plastic sandals will be fine, they'll wash perfectly clean...just as long as they don't get weighed down by too much mud and cause the plastic straps to snap! xD
As for the rest of Sheryl's cute new outfit, well,...it's only mud, at the end of the day. And even if you don't go into the mud, it's gonna get drenched by the incoming storm soon enough.. xD
I can't wait to see those cute jelly sandals going squelch, and thick mud start oozing in through the straps! ^_^

Plastic sandals with no padding should make it obvious to her that they won't be hurt by a dunk in the mud. It's just the overall idea of slogging through a marsh that's giving her pause. It would be odd and out-of-character if she was gung-ho for the experience.
If they were old and ratty, she might not care too much what happens to them on their own. It's just their being brand-new on top of what she thinks she's heading into that's making her hesitate. Under those circumstances, she would hesitate even if she were wearing (new) wellies.
Well, basically you're asking a character who does not interact with muddy places, to take a hike across a marshy wetland in order to avoid being caught outside in a potentially severe thunderstorm, and she's been told it's a dirty enough trek that they'll be wading across a river to clean up along the way. Not most folks' idea of a fun diversion while out shopping.
Looking forward to seeing Sherryl groan in disgust as she lifts one of her sandals out of the sucking mud, her foot covered in muck and mire, the goop oozing between her toes and through her straps. She is NOT going to be happy! Excellent job with the pic, and looking forward to seeing this progress!
