One of the raptor-mammal hybrids is very likely about to chase something! Where there's of these, there's at the least three or four more in the immediate area. Combined with their intelligence, prey escaping once targeted is all but impossible.
Thankfully for my main characters in the U.S., this species is confined to the other side of the planet. Originating in France due to an illegal hybridization project just before the apocalypse fully broke out, and thwm spreading into areas of Asia, all the northern countries in Africa and as far north as the north most point of the Yamal Peninsula within 20 years of the collapse of civilization.This species won't appear in The Spinosaurus itself, rather a spinoff set in Europe I plan to write in the future at some point. Probably after the mainline story is wrapped up. Good thing for my cast, as these are easily the most dangerous animals survivors of the apocalypse can encounter.
