If I remember well, Yoshi always wear boots in games, even in other clothes, so I kept them ^ω^
You are correct about that reagarding Yoshi and their boots. Fun fact: Yoshi or rather a Horse for Mario was considered during the making of "Super Mario Bros. 3" though the limitations made things problematic and the plans kept being developed up til after the release of the game.
It is certainly possible that if they could have had Yoshi playable in there that the suits could have been a power-up to combine with Yoshi.
And sure thing I like it all. Underwater scenes have a nice ambience to them. Shiny would likely have fun with such froggy outfits whether for swimming or rainy days. X3
