Ya'll said you wanted some male art so here's a doodle from my day off work.
Anyone else grow up with the yearly birthday ritual of getting their pictures taken at the 'Sears Portrait Studio'? I usually had to pose next to a giant (me sized) number of however old I was and that motorized backdrop that would change colors between shots. I can still hear the sound of the camera flashbulbs in those weird umbrella things going off... Of course anyone who was born after the 90s probably has no idea what I'm even talking about.

K-Mart that's a name I haven't heard in a long time, we used to have one locally but it disappeared right around the time Sears went bust. I remember when I was younger having those 'disposable' cameras and having to get those developed, I can't remember where we took them to get that done though I was too young to pay attention.
We never had Sears family photos taken. Mom once sprung for Olan Mills photos. They had traveling photographers who went around the country, announcing when they would be in town for a few days. They were usually reliable, but sometimes bad things happen. A week or so after the photos were taken, Dad went to pick them up. He was told that there weren't any photos under our name and no record that any had been taken. Mom stopped payment on the check the next day, which hadn't yet made it through the system.
Another week passed and Mom got an irate call from some harridan in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Olan Mills' home office. She threatened legal action if Mom didn't cut them a new check immediately. Mom calmly told her to take all the action she wanted, they had violated Connecticut state law by failing to provide a paid service. That was the end of our professional photography experiences for many years.
Dad was something of a photo bug when he was in the service in WWII; his Kodak Rangefinder 35 is almost arms reach from me now. That said, he kept Mom supplied with several still cameras from a Kodak Brownie 127, a Polaroid, an Kodak Instamatic 126 and a Kodak 8mm movie camera. Mom took most of our pictures over the years.
