This is the third story about Max Longear, commissioned in 2007. Here the rabbit's recent gluttony is starting to show. He has gained a bit of weight. But that doesn't seem to bother him, in fact it seems he likes it. So he goes to a newly opened All You Can Eat Restaurant to eat some more!
In this story a new character is also introduced. But originally he wasn't in this comic. When I wrote the script I wanted Max to be talking to the readers, but Duo didn't like that idea. She instead suggested that he could be talking to a second character. And after a bit of thinking I agreed to that idea. So here he is, introducing Max Longear's best friend: Martin, the Pine Marten. (In this comic we don't get to know his name though.)
And also, if you look carefully, you'll notice that it's from this comic that I have taken the image of Max that is in my avatar. Can you spot from which page and from which panel I have taken the image? I have manipulated the image in the avatar a bit, but I guess it's still quite easy to find the original in the comic.

Awesome work. Like the fact that you and Duo worked things out. And, glad that you came up with another charcater too. :)

Yes, probably. But it's actually just Duo Radon that drew Martin that way. Maybe just in case I wanted him to reply something, but back then I couldn't come up with anything good for Martin to say. So that's why that panel might look a bit strange, with Martin just pointing without saying anything. Originally I wrote this as a Max only story, but instead of Max just talking to the reader (like I first wanted) Duo Radon wanted him instead to have another character to talk to, so you can say that she invented Martin. So that's why Martin doesn't say that much in this story, since he wasn't originally in it. But I liked him so much that I had him return in the later stories about Max Longear.
