It isn't, really.
It's not like this official, heavily enforced law that humans are inferior and should be subservient to the other races.
It's more of those... unspoken/unwritten laws that not everyone either knows or even cares about. A lot of them are pretty good friends with each other, or even start families together.
Most of the time, it's mostly just a bit of a 'play' on that fact, if you catch my drift. ;3
