Finished piece for Patreon! Took me a lot longer than I anticipated, but it's finally done! I'm pretty pleased with it, I think Shadow's wings are some of the best I've ever painted. I drew from some of my favorite classical imagery for this one; Bernini's sculpture The Ecstasy of Saint Teresa, and The Pieta sculpture by Michelangelo. Glad I finally got to do something that showed Harp's divine nature, and hinting at the true roles of these two characters.

Shadow is the most powerful magic user in all of Teafeathers, intimidating and seemingly the toughest and most dangerous thing around. His role in alecani society is to protect Harp's mortal body. While Harp, who is much smaller and has a disability (near blindness), is seen as much more vulnerable. But the Harp's light is what cast's the shadow, so to speak. Underneath the frail and dainty exterior she is a terrifying spiritual force, with the knowledge and power of all those who filled her role in past generations to back her up
