Gender Euphoria

Last month when I had yet to buy any feminine clothing I was frequently questioning if my desire to express more fem was just in my head. If I'd buy that clothing, put it on, and then not feel anything or—even worse—have it feel wrong. Then one night I was doing the dishes while wearing a hoodie. It felt too hot so I decided to take the hoodie off and, rather than set it down somewhere, I tied it around my waist. I noticed in the reflection of the windows above my sink that it almost looked like a skirt. I did a little finagling and got it to the point that it did look like one within the reflection and it made me feel really good. I liked looking like that. It affirmed to me that when I did finally make the leap to present more feminine it'd be the right move. Not two weeks later and I was actually putting on a skirt and feeling that rush of joy I'd only gotten a taste of looking at my reflection. Sitting here now, wearing one and typing this, it still feels good.

I'm still trying to work things out in regards to my gender, but it's little moments like this one—or the way my eyeliner makes me smile, or the happiness I felt wearing a fully feminine look in public—that help me push away doubts that I'm on the right track.
