Sometimes, when the red blade illuminated the dark streets, Sheta would see her own shadow take on a life of its own. It was as if the Shadow stopped repeating the movements of her body, gaining its own will, and the more often Sheta saw this, the more the Shadow showed itself to her.
As time passed, the Shadow began to show its own will more often, and at some moment Sheta realized that the Shadow was trying to talk to her. The Shadow, like an evil sister, whispered to Sheta the ideas of her thoughts, trying to encourage her owner to do evil deeds. And when the khajiit girl followed the dark thoughts, the Shadow separated from the wall and took shape to deliver deadly stabs at the right moment, in sync with the hand of its owner.
Sheta didn't know how to relate to her new sister. Khajiit became uncomfortable every time the shadow blade was behind her back. Because sometimes Sheta would catch The Shadow's gaze expressing pleasure at the anticipation of killing. It was unnerving, frightening. After all, such a look could be caught by the killer's partner as well as by the killer's victim.

It's actually part of the lore, but it's not about Dro'm-Atra, it's about Nightblades. About shadow mages. There is indeed a description of such mages in the TES lore. There were very few of them. It's actually a bit ridiculous that such a rare talent became a playable class in TESO.
I read about it a bit and it turns out to be quite intriguing. So, for Sheta, her shadow represents her darkest urges? Her alter ego? Conceptually, shadows can be representations of "the reflection of possible worlds created by forces in conflict" or "Shadows are the records of the clash, past, present and future of these forces". It seems bethesda is very hesitant to make up their mind about the concept of the shadows as the entities. Also, is Sheta evildoer?
No, Sheta is not the evildoer, but her shadow is as much a mystery to her as it is to the viewer. In my mind, this entity has a purpose of its own. Sheta's shadow has no compassion and does not care about people's feelings and this scares the khajiit. The shadow both helps Sheta in many things and incites her to evil intentions, so Sheta can't understand what to expect from her "sister".
As with many night blades, Shadow has a will of its own and the wielder does not know its motives.
