I’ve thought up several inspirational ideas in my head while dealing with my poor art skills. I have sought guidance for better art techniques for a month and got barely any aid. I almost went to one of my favorite artists to try and commission him for tutorial pics, only backing out because I may have asked him once before. With a pain filled psyche, I pushed myself to draw this.
I used a picture of my character drawn by a far superior artist in an attempt to improve. Even then, I still feel no satisfaction from this picture. I feel my support layers may not be accurate enough, but I hate working with them, so I try to avoid spending more time on them. This may be why my proportions are still off, but I do need the support layers, or my drawings will always suffer. I still have no desire to use a tablet, I want to be able to draw with the computer itself.
Anyway, the purpose of this pic was to explore a game I’ve spent much time on: Assassin’s Creed Origins. It’s surprising I’ve have so much fun with an Assassin’s Creed game, since earlier installments were just average in my eyes. Rogue was quite enjoyable though. This one, I chose to try due to it’s large map and massive amount of side missions and equipment, as it’s always fun when you find a cool new weapon (Sickle Swords are my fave). Many people complain about the leveling system and while it does segregate the player and the enemies, it does add much more incentive to the side missions. Shame Leon can’t use that sword yet.
May change the Egyptian diaper in later pics (pardon the pun).

Oooooh, I barely remember my AS days in Origins and Odyssey...mostly because of how long it took me to play them given how huge their worlds are and all the stuff you can do.
Thooooooough, I say 'play' more directly and not so much 'finish'. Since I play games 'vanilla', unless they package the stuff together (go Control!), I get to play games in their 'we've finished it...! we think' glory heh heh. (For the uninitiated, 'vanilla' means without patches/DLC)
Wow, so long ago, but I remember that it was one of these games where I actually COULDN'T"T finish it because of this ONE specific glitch that can happen if you go to a certain small area, and possibly open one random chest, that makes you unable to assassinate a single, low-level cultist (ok, I THINK this was Odyssey)...because you have to search a body during a quest line, but all I could do was pick it up....which essentially means you can NOT finish the game's MAIN quest at all---even though you KNOW who the cult leader is! Wow, big let down...
Funny enough, I thought I did Origins first and THAT was the one I couldn't finish...
Though, I'm PRETTY sure that I wasn't able to finish something big in Origins either.
As said, been a long while, but I do know that in one game, I wasn't able to finish the main quest line, and in another I wasn't able to finish like...one of the 'arcs' or something...I think it may have been the Cultist Arc in Odyssey, which leads to the 'ending' of the game (yeah, managed to do Atlantic arc thingy which is suppose to be after ha) and something else in Origins....
That said, time-pourers these games are, and I appreciated Origins' level system if I recall the versatile fighting styles you can use. Since it was the early state of Assassin's Creed, naturally some of the 'traditional values' weren't there....well, that's just because they weren't developed yet heh. I do remember romping around Egypt and thinking myself an Arabian do-gooder hehehe.
(ACTUALLY, coming off my Valhalla experience...I think Origins I DID finish all the way through! I think it was Odyssey I couldn't finish the Cultist line of.....and I couldn't finish Valhalla's version either (last mission doesn't initiate I believe)! While a bit more minor (it was the assassination of the leader of THAT version of the cultists), it still caused me to raise a brow to say 'is this...better'? So I guess Origins WAS the last Asssassin's Creed that you could actually finish in vanilla ha!)
