The first version of my fursona I did a while back I did in a more realistic style (you can see it here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/44659410/ )
I was pretty happy with it at first, but as time went on, it lost more of its luster as I branched out, and started developing my less realistic style. But today while working on another piece of furry art I saw this again, and thought to myself how it would look if I switched the colors and such to match my new cartoon fursona - one thing led to another, I adjusted a bunch of things, and I like this much more now.
I like both versions of my fursona for different reasons, but I like the realistic one because I based it off of an actual photo of me, so it feels personal in a way the cartoon one doesn't. Generally it just feels much more bright and vibrant now, and it shows an obvious improvement in my art.
