Getting back to the public-domain comic books in search of simpler characters and easy enough poses. Glum here is an ... imp, I'm going to say ... from a series of fairy-tale stories in Jingle Jangle Comics; he'd bring Bingo into some fairy tale that they make turn out happy. Also, he kinda looks like he's got some Devo thing going on, but I think that's just because his hat gets drawn in weird poses, such as this one from the top left corner of https://comicbookplus.com/?dlid=24539 page 35, Jingle Jangle #10. Anyway I like his full-body outfit there, it's catchy. And I need practice on drawing human-ish heads too.
That comic's got an adaptation of Hansel and Gretel with a pretty nice appearance by the Ferocious Eagle of the Mountain Top. But it also shows a bunch of kids turned back to human without showing where they had been animals, or even in the story at all, before.
