Diane Foxington in a Filipina Attire
As a Filipino artist, I realy wanted to draw furry or anthro characters wearing Filipino clothings to expose the culture of my beloved country. I was inspired by
BlasitoDawa 's artworks of showing characters on TV shows and movies exposing Filipino culture.
When I started working on it, I refered a pose reference on Twitter which lead me to draw a character holding an umbrella with a pretty dress on and I played with bright lighting to show elegance of the character.
So here we go, Diane Foxington from The Bad Guys, enjoying her great moment of feeling a summer breeze with an umbrella on top of her head, letting the sun rays touch her warm and beautiful face. This was inspired by one of the main characters of Dr. Jose Rizal's first novel "Noli Me Tangere" in English 'Touch Me Not.' The name of one of the main characters is Maria Clara. She was describe as a beautiful young woman who is the symbol of innocence and purity of a woman during the Spanish colonization which lasted for 333 years.
Darn, that was a very long explanation of what is behind the inspiration of my fanart.
