Coloring their eyes was a great idea. It wonderfully keeps the viewer focused to them and the wonderfully saturated color hues you used here. :D

I for one have fond childhood memories of watching the first season of the anime and playing my first Pokémon game. Namely Pokémon Gold. ^w^
Heck, even my Espeon Pokésona was created in memory of my very first Eeveelution that i discovered on my own. Without Any Guides or having the form spoiled in trailers... Back then We didn’t had internet so my first playthrought was completely blind, and my only vague knowledge I learned from the Anime. x//D
Gaming was so pure back then. ^v^

I didn't play at that time, but when I was little, we watched the first seasons, it was back in the last century XDD We cut Pokemons out of paper and glued magnets to them, and then "caught" them with a magnetic fishing rod! And then I was given a backpack in the form of a pikachu and it was my favorite toy for many years x33

Aww, that’s so sweet. In my country on other hand at the later 90 and early 2000’s there we were collecting Pokémon Tazo.

On thhe back of each Tazo there was a short describtion explaining wchih type the current pokemon was strong against and wchih one was weak to.

I collected them too! I had a whole bag! QwQ My sister collected sailor moon and I collected Pokemon, and they were also in chips, sold separately in stalls and in magazines!
I remembered how we played them, it was so good! x3
