I'm building lore for my story. It will be a world filled with non-standard creatures (species). Some species will be simple, some strange / complex
I drew a lot of inspiration from existing mythology and culture.
I will talk little by little. In the future, maybe I'll change something (When will I hire a translator in the future). I hope I will not make many mistakes in grammar...
Orff (Orfus/Orthrus). Орф/Орфус. One of the races of beastmen.
Orthrus - anthro wolves with two and rarely three/one heads. The two heads in their religion represent the heart and the mind. When there is a third head, it denotes the soul. Orthrus have one name but it is divided into two/three parts for each personality/head. Orthrus with three heads are the strongest and largest individuals. Usually they become leaders / leaders of the pack. They are respected and greatly appreciated. Orthrus with one head are considered inferior. They are much weaker physically than other relatives.
The height of a single-headed Orthrus is approximately 180-220 centimeters.
The height of the two-headed Orthrus is approximately 230-280 centimeters.
The height of the three-headed Orthrus is approximately 320-400 centimeters
(Here I used Margo-Rita as an example, but she is 230 centimeters tall in the original)

Each head of Orthrus is a separate person. Usually they are in harmony with each other and are friends in peace and harmony. But in adolescence, often the opposite happens. I have a fantasy world, so I don't take too much information from science. Perhaps something may sound strange and delusional to those who know a lot about twins from a scientific point of view ...
In my understanding, Orthrus with two and three heads is like two or three personalities in one body. They all feel the same way, everyone has their own thoughts, the taste in food can be different for each head / personality, the voice can also be different, everyone cannot speak at the same time, the body is controlled alternately or partially. They cannot read each other's thoughts, but they live side by side (in the literal sense) and know each other very well and therefore can foresee what one of them is talking about.
