Obonic in a meditative state.
Lots of symbolism in here. Most notably Yahshuah (YHShVH) of the Pentagrammaton.
Also, The Rose of Christian Rosenkreutz
I wanted to do some more spiritual type images, I still believe furries have a deep spiritual side. Even if sex is a thick facade.
Would anyone be interested in a print?

I'm guessing these are all Christian symbols? I've never heard of the 44 rays of aries. But I have heard of Christian Rosenkreutz. He founded the Rosicrucianism order in Germany in the 17th century I think. I am aware that Yahshuah is believed by some to be the Hebrew name of Jesus but I have no idea what a Pentagrammaton is though.
If it isn't too much trouble, do you mind enlightening me on those subjects?
Were did you pick up all of this knowledge? Was it a book that describes weird underground Christian orders?
"I wanted to do some more spiritual type images, I still believe furries have a deep spiritual side. Even if sex is a thick facade." I'm sorry but I believe you are horribly wrong there. Anyways, cool image, even though I am unaware of most of the symbols in the picture. I think a print would look great.

I wouldn't be able to say these symbols all belong to the Christians, or at this point to any one religion.
Yahshuah or, Y-H-Sh-W-H, is YHVH the name of God, with Shin in the center. Thus the name of God's son.
For the Pentagrammaton, The 4 letters of the name have been attributed to the elements. Shin, which points up above them all, is the spirit. Some call the spirit, the imagination of God in man.
I should also note that 5 is the passion of Geburah, the red Sephiroth also associated with the rose.
For the 44 rays I am using hebrew gematria for טלה (ram ♈) and the same for להט (flame) and דמ (blood). I liked that since I'm an aries. (which is also why there is a big halo around the head).
There are other symbolism there too.
The Violet 3rd eye, which I use for Ajna.
Also the green background representing Venus ♀, along with aries is likened to the 4 of wands in Crowley's deck. The card for completion.
Not to mention Pine marten, or Martes Martes. The etymology from Latin; Martinus or Martin. The roman God of war; Mars. Which falls inline with Geburah and aries.
Does that shed some light on the subject? :) This comes from a lot of different books.
In a sense, I want spirit to shine through the crudeness of the furry fandom.

Its pretty obvious your a very spiritual person. I've never came across anybody with such a vast knowledge of such symbolism and astrology; then again I'm a rather shy person. Though I must say that I did enjoy seeing a rather spiritual piece on Fa as opposed to the ever common yiff pieces I see on here.
Your explanations did clear things up a bit though admittedly I'm still a bit lost despite your explanations. I don't know much about astrology to be honest. I do thank you for taking your time to explain the featured symbolism to me however.

That would be a very welcome change from the same yiff crazed mindset I see every day on Fa.
Hopefully you'll submit similar submissions with similar deep and meaningful messages.

I've studied a bit and I have a good teacher. :)
I hope to do more, maybe not as robust as this. I might have gone a little overboard on the symbolism.^_^;;
Would be nice to see a more spiritual side to people's work. I have to admit I post stuff like this to try and find others who have the same interests.
If you have any more questions, I can try to answer them. :)

I've been holding back on asking any other questions, as I feel I am being a pest, but oh well.
Erm when you say you're an aries your referring to the Greek Zodiac, correct? As I said, I don't know a whole lot about astrology but from what I learned from history there are multiple versions of the Zodiac. ex. Babylonian, Greek and Chinese, or maybe I'm completely wrong, I'm not really sure.
Also, I'm not entirely sure you would know this but I wanted to ask, do you know exactly how many Roman gods and deities there were? I am aware that there were quite a few, alot of them adopted from Greek paganism. Hopefully you can enlighten me on that as well.
Lastly, this doesn't really have much to do with the submission but hopefully you can answer it. How would an Ancient Roman properly worship Divus Julius or Divus Augustus and what exactly would be the benefit for properly worshiping them? From what I remember Divus Julius was Julius Caesar as a god and Divus Augustus was Augustus Caesar as a god.

For the traditional western astrology it comes from quote a few cultures. We've inherited a bit from the greeks, including some names. but astrology it's self is as old as Egypt, who's religion is very much based on the stars. Even back then they has associated that group of stars with the ram. Aries is Latin for Ram, I think.
There's alot of roman gods. Not really sure on the exact number. Many of the main ones where taken from greek culture and the Greek ones where taken from Egypt. Example. The Egyptian God; Thoth, was later; Hermes, in Greece and them Mercury in Rome. As the deity progressed through time it changed to become a more familiar image to each culture's society.
With the Roman Gods it's easy to note that they are associated to the planets. Mars, Venus, Mercury, Jupiter, Neptune, Saturn. Are all Roman god. Religious cultures have always had a stellar source to them.
as for the worship Divus Julius or Divus Augustus. I'm not all to certain. I'm not as well read on roman tradition. I know that sometimes they did so because their oracles had found a sign that for some reason would lead them to believe they should be worshiped like a God. OR many it was just egotism. XD I really don't know. and I only know that from watching a few episodes of I Claudius. XD
Sorry not much help there. Maybe I answered your questions a little? heh.

Oh damn, glad I saw this. The other night my crazy (and awesome) kabbalist friend and I were having one of those intense metaphysical conversations that folks like us are bound to have. I guess his dad and him are starting this low-key seminar on some intense hebrew stuff, like the Sepherot, Ruach Ha Kodesh, and fun things of that nature, which always seems interesting. Then I see this, and I'm like HA!
I try talking about this kind of stuff with a lot of furries and quite a few of them look at me like I'm crazy. Always good to see this kind of stuff on here. We should chill sometime, and shoot the shit on some heavy stuff, if you're down, of course.
Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh :3

Oh man there really is. I actually spend a good 12 hours today talking about this exact kind of thing with my buddy and his family. Went over for the Shabbat, and talked some mad hebrew with 'em and learned a lot. It was good times.
I always dig talking about all of this with the rare furry who can dig it. Restores my faith in the fandom, ha ha ha. Well, we'll have to make some time to do that then. :3

Just so I don't give the wrong impression, most of what I know is from the Hermetic Qabalah. Which is still deeply influenced from the judaic tradition but i can't say I know as much about Judaism as a whole.
Would be nice to hear another fur's approach on the subject. :) Your more then welcome to visit sometime.

Right on. I'm not Jewish myself either, I actually got into the Hebrew stuff through PKD books and gnosticism, but I figure hearing about that stuff from the source is a good way to learn it. I still have a lot to learn in that area, most of what I know is from shamanic things, buddhism, hinduism, sufi stuff and things of that nature. I like to find ways to tie all that stuff together.
Anyway, I'm working on some school stuff at the moment, but when I come to a good stopping point, maybe next week sometime, we can find some time to chill. If I recall, we don't live to far from each other. :)

This conveys the deep mystical feelings one can get to in a good meditation rather well. I've got a couple dozen or so books on occult matters (the Tree of Life, Wicca, the Golden Dawn (and the western mystical tradition in general). I have the Chemical Wedding of Christian Rosenkreutz. Very nice artwork. ^^
The spiritual work has a lot to offer an individual for their time and pursuits. :)
I am familiar with the Golden Dawn's stuff. Such as Isreal Regardi, and AC. I'm still have to read up more on CRC.
It's quite nice to find other Furries who have an appreciation for the Magnum Opus. :D I'm so glad you like it.
Sorry I haven't replied sooner. X3
