This is one kick-ass burger that is guaranteed to make your weekend BBQ a real smash!
Here’s how I made mine:
1-took 1 small tube of lean ground beef and mixed together with 1tbsp seasoned breadcrumbs, 1tbsp bbq spice, and 1tbsp crispy onions
2-formed 2 beef Patties and flattened them for the grill
3-on the hot grill l, I cooked both sides until no pink on top+bottom+middle to ensure perfection to the stomach (I do my best to avoid cross-contamination at all times when cooking)
4-once both Patties are fully cooked I put my cheese slices on each patty then stack once melted
5-topped with choice burger toppings and sauces and served with choice sides (French fries are best with these babies!)
6-serve and enjoy!
From Chris: I will have to mention that the technique used by Nsurfer, to get that seared 'crust' on the smashburger, is called a Maillard reaction. And that crust is what makes the burger so very flavorful (other than seasoning the burger first).
It is *essential* that you have a searing hot griddle or cooking pan, and you can always test that by just a few droplets of water on the pan itself.
