I actually like this. I'm not a baby fur, but I'm not a hater, either. I might try drawing some baby furs. Mind if I practice with your character and mine? :3

I wouldn't have any problem with that. I'm not exclusively a baby fur myself- The art just leans that way most of the time. I draw innocent characters, and innocent adult characters are, for the most part, boring. This whole arc is more of a formative backstory than anything else. Autobiographical, as well. People shy away from baby furs, I really don't know why. I've found the group to be one of the more friendly out there.

I think everyone is weird in their own way, so I try not to judge. It seems very hypocritical too be a fur and diss on baby furs, why is one part of the fandom less acceptable then the other? We should be unifying and supporting each other to make our fandom stronger, not segregating. And don't worry, I just plan on drawing them playing, nothing fetishy. :3

Sounds good to me. I never mind another artist creating their own interpretation of my characters, as long as its in good taste, and it sounds like you are in tune with that.

Furries have enough problems with the people who think they are normal without fighting amongst ourselves. Most of the babyfurs I've met just want to relive the feelings of being young and carefree again, its no different than an armchair quarterback wearing a jersey and fantasizing about being an athlete. They just want to play at being the opposite of adults… In the furry sense.

That's what I don't get.. furs create animal versions of themselves so they can gain the qualities of the animal they portray. How is a baby fur any different? They make their character younger so they can gain the feeling of happiness, safeness, innocence. Sounds like an admirable thing to me.

Exactly. But there is a misconception, even among furs, that infantilism somehow equates with being a pedo- as if the baby fur is simply finding a way of "sneaking under the radar" of adults, to get to children. They immediately associate wanting to be innocent with the act of destroying it, because they have completely lost their OWN sense of innocence, and thats what THEY would be doing. That, or they refuse to try and understand the formative reasons behind AB/DL, and write it off as someone who is just trying to get attention. For many furs, their whole thing is Dominance/ Submission, and they want to be the dominant individual, looking down on the truly innocent as less worthwhile than they.

Perhaps they just don't like adults trying their hardest to be "cute".

Its one of the reasons I'm writing and illustrating this story out- To show the one moment in life that was key in making me a DL, and later, an anthro (furry!) artist.

I think the two things I like most about this are the lighting effects on his face, and how you drew the face itself. It's very expressive.

I just saw the most recent pic, and now I've been reading this entire story. It's very heartfelt and sad and true. It's one of the best things I've seen on FA. Beautiful work.
