A toss together recipe i made tonight i hope you and ~faccc2 try it and enjoy too
So my fox is getting on me about eating healthier and hes been watching a bunch of videos about what to eat and fasting and that stuff so im trying to do better so I decided to make tomato soup its pretty basic filling and can be done in a healthier way. This is my tossed together recipe and its damn yummy
Tomato soup
6 whole tomatoes
2 teaspoons thyme
2 teaspoons oregano
1 quart chicken stock ( i used low sodium bone broth)
2 teaspoons onion powder
2 tablespoons franks red hot
2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
1 tablespoon grated parm
2 teaspoons brown sugar
1 preheat oven to 400 degrees
2 Slice tomatoes in half lin on baking tray and sprinkle with oregano and thyme
3 Roast in oven for 30 minutes
4 remove tomatoes from oven and purée in blender or food processor (for a smoother product you can try to remove the skins from the roasted tomatoes)
5 bring stock to a boil adding onion powder, soy sauce, and hot sauce. Mixing well
6 add tomatoes mixing well, and allow to simmer for at least 5 minutes
7 mix in parm and sugar
Let cool and serve
I made a big batch of this enough to eat on for a week or so and it came out so good
