When I was in the Navy, we had a chemical weapons drill. We were being evaluated on how well we donned our gear, and how fast. The alarm sounded, and I had my mask removed from the bag, donned and fitted properly within 4 seconds.

The evaluator did a double-take and asked me if I'd been Army or a Marine previously. I said no, I just don't want to die.

He liked that answer.
