It would be rather sweet to picture this as the eventual outcome, at first fighting but then comes respect, friendship and finally love. Two lonely souls and kings amongst the titans whom just have cute playful moments.
It would be fun if the kaiju perhaps decided to avoid too much collateral damage, they'd resolve battles for dominance or just for fun with tickle fights. Remembering your earlier piece with Ghidorah, I imagine Kong would have come in handy there since a tag team between himself and Godzilla would probably soon have tickled the space dragon into submission.
