This is a bit of fanart done of
universallord 's character, "the Ronin."

My apologies to Doc Holiday in Tombstone. The quote just seemed appropriate.

I figured it would. He strikes me as a real doc holiday character. If you choose to call it a birthday gift, then so be it. Otherwise, it's fan art. Either way, I don't show people that I actually got my start in art by drawing Spider-man, Superman, the Hulk and Iron Man. I never even drew my first woman until I was 14 and she looked like a little boy.
There's always the one character who wants to be bigger than you wrote him. He'll always force himself up when he has a chance until he's a first or second tier character. Scotty, from the original Star Trek, was written to be a non-descript red shirt for one episode. James Doohan decided he wanted more for the character so he hung an obnoxiously bad Scottish accent on it. It stuck. Ya never know.
The Ronin forced his way to the spotlight, that's for sure. I had planned for him to be fourth behind Antony, Mouse, and Jessica. But as I developed the character and gave him his first story, he ended up top-dog. you're right, some characters just have an energy that give them life beyond what you planned for.
