[OrcQuest spoilers]
When RL lived happily in her elven forest village she fell victim to a trickster fey. This fey controled the elf and burned her village down getting both the fey and RL banned from the forest permanently. This is the secret preface for the comic as RL's memory is wiped and she must recover her past. When she does, she finds that same fey and traps then within a weeping willow tree and keeps them aboard her ship (The Taiga) as a show of both her power and her mercy.
