I am so glad to have friends that share my love for finding the beauty in nature.
Kitt the red fox, Secunda the timber wolf, and I all love a good hike, and I had a treat in store for them. As a dragon, I have had many years to find the greatest sights around the world, and with wings I can not only reach secluded spots more easily, but I can bring friends to them by giving them a ride!
Considering it was fall, I knew a place not too far from my own alpine territory that perfectly captures the beauty and colors of the season. And once we arrived, I was filled with excitement to see that Kitt and Secunda were similarly awestruck by the sights. I eagerly led them down the forest trail, following a gentle downhill path through the grass and trees. I showed them the full array of oranges, browns, yellows, and even pinks that the leaves had taken on, feeling the satisfying crunch of those fallen colors under our paws as we travelled. The beautiful mountain vistas in the distance still retained some of their snow! The snow never melts in the mountains around my territory, and that's just the way I like it. And perhaps that's what makes this place so special despite being so close to home. Nowhere else can you enjoy the beauty of fall and winter all in one place.
Ah, looks like I lost myself taking in the environment there. Secunda has wandered off the trail! But it looks like Kitt is already trying to get them back on track. She is well used to keeping the mischievous wolf in line by now.
This turned out to be such a fantastic piece by NeOphidia on Twitter that I am so, so happy to receive! I just wanted to get a piece with my friends since they don't get much art of their sonas (at least compared to me) and we all agreed that we needed a group commission together. But looking at the result, this is genuinely one of the more beautiful pieces in my whole gallery!
Seriously, NeOphidia can't get enough credit here, her art is awesome and I hope y'all check her out!!
The red/white anthro fox is Kitt (She/Her) and the black/purple anthro wolf is Secunda (They/Them)
