The blackbird doesn't look real...I'm confused

Both birds are quite real. This was something the blackbird kept doing to the seagull (much to the seagull's mild annoyance).

Like, I know the bird itself is real, but its such an odd capture!

Odd captures are what I'm all about. Just takes a high shutter speed, a bit of patience, and a hyperactive blackbird. :3

Here we see the rare blood sucking blackbird closing in on it's oblivious prey.. the struggle will be swift, but the outcome at this point is not in question..

Come to think of it, they did film the original "Lost Boys" not too terribly far from where this shot was taken...

Except, of course, by rebellious punk birds (the kind who dye their feathers purple and listen to chicken metal), who play it entirely to annoy their parents.

Thanks! Actually there is a follow-up of sorts, which I'll get around to posting one of these times. Yeah, this little bird was not having it that day. :P

I've always wondered why the call it a "dogfight" when everyone is flying around. I'd think "birdfight" would be more appropriate.

Actually this was kind of an aerial combat, at least as far as the blackbird was concerned. The seagull just wanted to be left alone. :P
