Messerschmidt Bf-109 G3 EAA Oshkosh 2022
I broke down and ventured for the annual Aviation Hajj to Oshkosh Wisconsin. Because of this.... a VERY rare and complete German built Messerschmidt Bf-109G3 with original Daimler-Benz engine. Not the average Spanish Casa 109s that more people see at air shows. There was a second Bf-109G3 there as well. Both aircraft are recoveries from Russia in the early 1990s.
Not everyday one see's such rare and historical aircraft, sadly I didn't get to see this aircraft in the air. it would have been great to hear that engine's roar and seeing her take to the skies again after 75 years.
But it was worth it to see it up close and personal.

I am so jealous of you, Rabbi!
I haven't been to the EAA convention since 1996, and would have loved to have gone with you.
I especially love the Warbirds.
I went to the Smithsonian Air And Space museum that same year, saw aircraft I nearly drooled over.
As you can guess, I love WW2 aircraft.
