Or maybe that's just me having leftover knowledge of how to draw unhinged cuphead villains from my fleischer phase many years ago (even before cuphead and bendy!). I've been avoiding cuphead for a good few years, no particular reason, it just wasn't my thing and I'd long been past my 30s toon style phase. Was super obsessed over 30s to 70s art styles as a kid.

I find I still am, so that's wonderful! No surprise since there's definitely heavy 30s influence on my art in subtle ways.
