Those on the forest floor were able to obtain their water after it pooled into lakes, rivers, and streams. Those creatures that lived in the highest reaches of the canopy did not make the several-hour trip downwards through the maze of branches. After it rained, particular plants that grew from the crooks where the branches met the trunk would collect the fresh water in their cup-like leaves. The Ha'aow visited these places frequently and even made their nests around them to protect the plants. The designated Ha'aow Tender would maintain the health of the plants and supervise others as they drank. Each Ha'aow would sit in front of the heavy leaves, reaching upwards with careful and dexterous claws to tip them downwards. Their pointed tongues would lap at the furrowed tip, whisking away the droplets until their thirst was quenched. All-Hollow provided for all, even as it took.

efaru! She did an amazing job with the luxurious fur, and the little outstretched tongue makes me MELT. Ka'ahkai, All-Hollow, and the Ha'aow are mine. Please don't redistribute this artwork, and I think Efaru has the high definition upload available on her patreon.
