Carmelita has been promoted to Assistant Commissioner at the Parisian division of Interpol. This leaves her former partner Lt. Cooper (formerly Cnst.) saddled with desk duty until he is assigned a new partner. Enter Lt. Clodwig Taurat. A Giraffe born in Pietersburg, South Africa, but raised in parts of Germany. His mother was an officer for the German army and as such he was shuffled around a lot depending on where she was posted. He grew up disciplined, but with a strong sense of justice and his own set of ideals.

He was picked up by Interpol and quickly rose through the ranks to Lieutenant. After putting in a request for a transfer he was granted a transfer to Paris on one condition. To maintain constant vigilance on his proposed partner, Sly Cooper. Interpol has never forgotten Sly’s past despite his (apparent) amnesia and are just waiting for him to relapse and start his crime spree anew.

Lt. Taurat took up the gauntlet and now works with Cooper on all their cases. The two often clash and Taurat is open with Sly from the beginning about his assignment to keep an eye on him. Despite their animosity the two work very well together and Sly sometimes jokes about Taurat being “Iron Sides ver.2.0” but he usually just calls him Clod
