I never saw the movie, but Bradbury’s book is excellent.

The movie was an excellent adaptation. IIRC, Bradbury himself wrote the screenplay. Naturally, some stuff had to be omitted to fit in a 90-minute film. A lot of people think it is just a horror story, but deep down it's about people longing for things they can't have. In particular the young who desire to be grown up and the old wishing they could be young once again. Jason Robards is great as the dad and Jonathan Pearce is phenomenal as Mr. Dark. Amazing for something coming out of the Disney studios.

Got so wrapped up in talking about the movie, I forgot to say that this pair of photos from the carnival are wonderful B&W studies. Had to fave them both!

The sky was wonderful that evening. I have a few others I haven’t posted her that are pretty good. Like I said, a lot of keepers for a short roll. I may post a couple others.
