Anyone still read? I loved the sky and the light in this one and I thought of a book that scared the hell out of me when I was a kid.

The movie was an excellent adaptation. IIRC, Bradbury himself wrote the screenplay. Naturally, some stuff had to be omitted to fit in a 90-minute film. A lot of people think it is just a horror story, but deep down it's about people longing for things they can't have. In particular the young who desire to be grown up and the old wishing they could be young once again. Jason Robards is great as the dad and Jonathan Pearce is phenomenal as Mr. Dark. Amazing for something coming out of the Disney studios.
