The "Tyrant" was the first "Excelsior"-Class Ship the Galactic Alliance came across and she was responcible for many early Atrocities at the Start of the War. Entire Worlds have suffered because of her fearsome Arsenal, including 2 downscaled Goliath Cannon's. While not as powerfull as the Versions on the Worldships, both Cannons can crack the Crust of a Planet, leaving everything else down there to the Fallout. Another part of the "Tyrant's" Arsenal is the Long Lance Strike Cannon, wich main Objective is to eliminate Orbital Defences like Battle Stations or Large Capital Ships. The "Tyrant" is a Frontline Ship and most of the Time leads the Fleet into Battle. A Role she would excel in with Bravery......if not for one detail....

She is the Flagship of Grand Admiral Feronis Taloris, Cousin and only known alive Blood relative of the ruling Emperor Darium Taloris! Feronis is a mediocre officer, and that is even pretty generously said. He was promoted to Grand Admiral by his Uncle, the former Emperor and also he gave him the "Tyrant" as personal gift. He see's himself as a great Tactician and believes he is the best Officer in the hole Navy. He even believes his Cousin, Darium, would forever hold his protecting Hand over him. In Truth Darium despise him as a total waste of Breathable Air! Also the only working Tactics Feronis seems to be able to come up with are dumb Bulldozer Tactics, no other sane Navy Commander would use! This "Tactics" are the reason the "Tyrant" carries such heavy Frontal Weaponery! He is so full of himself and stupid, he even let the importent Secondary Bridge remove as the Long Lance Cannon was build into the Hull and Superstructure.

The Crews of Hunting Squadron 81, the Fleet attached to the "Tyrant", hate their Leader and the Way he simply throw away their lives and their Ships for often small gains. On one Occasion, alone 30 of 70 Dreadnaught got destroyed and the "Tyrant" herself got greatly damaged. Of course, Feronis put the blame entirely on his "Incompetent" subordinates, who could not keep up with his "Tactical genius"! It took multiple nearly loses of the "Tyrant", before Hunting Group 81 was pulled back and Group 17 took over. Feronis of course misunderstood this as the Fear of his Cousin, he could be in Danger if his brilliant Campaign continues. He didn't even realize, that many Ships of his Fleet where at the request of their crews transferred over to Hunting Group 17. Normaly, Regular Crews looks enviously up to the Crews of "Excelsior's"......now, it was the Crew of the "Tyrant", to look enviously at these Crews, for they knew....they would stuck with the bloody disgrace of a Commanding Officer...
