Only Fen could understand the Draakin initially, Vix didn't have a clue what he was saying until she was turned into one.

Does that mean she can only have one more child?
If she does, is that the end of her life force and she will die? If so, having sex is going to be ... well dangerous. I hope this isn't the case. I hope it just means that her body has enough essense to produce only three kids.

I would think that if it was a dire situation, Ms wouldn't be smiling in that last panel, she would be frowning or more concerned. Of course this is only her surmising. She isn't 100% sure herself. Mis wouldn't have thought the two of them could merge into one body and have sex with a Draakin either, so surprises happen all the time.

I also love that Vix is almost always smiling in some way. She is so easy going. <3

Reading the comments so far people could also look at this like she won't have any more babies.
I still think that is part of her creator's intend, even if the girl never thought about it. She might have thought that kids should come in pairs considering how alone she felt after her sister died.

Honestly, I don't think that child did it alone. I think she was used as a conduit by someone or something else. If she had made Vix entirely on her own, I'm pretty sure Vix would be a red panda like her and, presumably, her sister

The shadow Hadanin is the solid, dark black typical of hadalen constructs. Vix is black, but she's actually fairly light and her color isn't solid. The draaken also aren't exclusively black. There seems to be a disconnect between hadalen constructs and things like draaken and Vix. Even though they're made from the same stuff, they seem to follow different rules.

We do know too little about draaken, especially the first generation ones. Their brain alone must be vastly different from that of others because they remember all their lives before while normal mortals begin at zero and can have vastly different personalities compare to their former incarnations. To name just one detail.

Well, don't forget that we are dealing with Clarketech, which is still technology by the end of the day. We know the system of the Cores, the P.A.T.H. and others are to some extend connected and while it hasn't been shown, they must have facilities to grow new bodies at every 'restart'. The Hadalen 'magic' could have accessed the system that creates bodies and used that to create one.
That would be my guess.

If this is the case, then there must be a good reason why she's telling them now. I'm guessing she's worried Vix would run out of energy and die if she had another kid.

Interesting theory, though I'm not to sure on how it's explained.

The way Mis is wording it, it sounds like the marks are like a count down to the end o her life. But by the last panel of her pregnancy, Vix was down to no marks. It sounds like her marks being a power meter makes sense, but it looks more like a power meter to a generator then a one use battery.

But it's interesting to take note how much Vix and Fenfen have in common. It even gives an idea of the reason of why they were so compatable to be able to have twins together on the first try.

Any time she's had no marks it's because I forgot them. There is no lore reason behind it.

Alright. Though that does bring up concerns about how much life she has left. Hopefully Vix can recharge what life she has left.

If she's a Hadalen-created entity, then it would take to reason that it would take some sort of Hadalen charge. A large charge.

Fortunately for her, she's attached to someone who happens to be carrying a LOT of Hadalen... who only needs to understand it better.

Well to be fair to Vix, the body goes through a lot to have a couple of kids made in it. And Vix went through a lot while carrying them. Stomped by a dragon. Merging with Fen to become a two headed drake to battle said dragon. Nearly being killed by Fen when an artifact was manipulating her. Taking a long trip with those injuries to recieve proper care for them.

Though I wonder if we're seeing the idea of Lifeforce Mis is explaining as to much of a finite and not as a constant biological process of the body to maintain itself?

A body making babies uses up a lot of energy and resources to make those babies. But overall the body recovers if a little changed from the experience of birthing a baby. Perhaps it's something that Vix will eventually recover those marks given time, healthy food and good exercise.

You could go back and fix those times, and overwrite the incorrect pages. At least it's a very small detail, and rarely missed, so it could be a free-time diversion.

Well, to me that just means you gotta fill the vessel back up again. You dump it, you fill it.

Haha see I called it. I knew there was some connection but this bring a more interesting question. Ones that can't be answered now because they look too deep into what coming up next But I think I starting to see the connection and what may be a plan for the future! But for now the main question to be.. what 'source' is she disconnected from?

I have my personal theory here: by 'vessel life source' Nis means Vix' power to 'give life' (like when she had the twins), not Vix' own life. Hence why she's so calm explaining all this. Outside ToT Feretta already draws Vix without the markings, so I don't think no marks Vix == dead Vix, more a Vix that either won't be able to have kids anymore, or something similar (like losing her magic);

That and Nis herself stated she doesn't know entirely how Vix came to be, and the only certainty she have is that she isn't a shadow clone or a construct, but it's own being, and even states that the whole "the markings represent her vessel's life force" is simply a theory due to the timing of the marks fading coinciding with her giving birth to Fen's twins (which can also be just a coincidence, because they could've also faded while she was still pregnant).

And Vix doesn't seem to give a fuck at all, As if she KNEW this already! :V

I think that perhaps that last mark represents her own life. Two stripes were given for her children and only one stripe left to mark her own life force.
