I'm still around, really! Just...really behind on posting stuff... but, guess it's oddly fitting this was the next one on my list. :/ Commissioned this back in March as a bit of a vent piece - I can't really draw myself, but, fortunately, I can sometimes afford to commission artists who can capture the ideas for me! ^^
But yeah, it's been...rough, lately. I feel a bit guilty complaining about my job and how expensive it is to fix my car when there's so much worse going on in the world, between US politics being dragged back to the 1930s and Russia's ever-growing list of war crimes going unanswered... it all feels so overwhelming some days. And I wish I could do something, anything, about it, but...what can I do? I'm only barely managing to take care of myself... :|
And that sounds much more depressing than I'd intended, sorry. >< I'm not just hiding away from the world curled up in bed much now, though! I'm mostly hiding away from the world in video games. XD;; Finally started playing SWTOR again (on the Star Forge server), and also just started poking at GTA Online on the PS5. Not sure how long I'll stick with that - even with the latest changes, it's still a grind - but, we'll see~. Feel free to give me a shout for either of those, too, if any of you'd like. ^^

No...the current political and social climate is not going to change my mind. I can not get mad at a country I have no feud with. I have friends on the other side of the world who are feeling the same as you are. Please...do not be ashamed. Fear is a normal emotion. It makes us stronger. I wish I had an answer to what you are going through. All I can do is offer my help as someone who can listen and understand as best as they can. If you need to vent, I am here...

Eh, I'm okay, really; not much to talk about or anything, just, ya know, general frustration with the state of the world? I probably shouldn't have even mentioned it, but... welp. /shrug

Thank you~. ^^ I've been...okay. Still a bit stressed about the election next week, still burnt out from work and frustrated I'm not paid enough, but... /shrug? Did have a nice quiet week off to myself last week, though, and there are some really cool people who do care, even if I'm bad at being active here or on Discord ^^;;… one of them even gifted me a cute, cuddly piece shortly after this! 🥰 Which I..um...still need to post. ><

Ahh yea, I'm right there with ya. The stress and the looming outcome of the next few weeks will be interesting to see @.@ Quiet weeks are necessary though! You get to have some rest and recharge, especially after burn out. I'm staving that off pretty bad myself. Career path was great at the start but...it has taken a few twists and turns x3

We all go through a bit heavy at times, and what you're feeling is totally valid. The world can really seem overwhelming right now, and feeling a little overwhelmed is completely normal. But honestly, the fact that you're taking care of yourself is already huge, and sometimes that's the most important thing.
Small pleasures like playing games or ordering art are things that feel good, even when you're feeling helpless in the face of bigger events. It's healthy to find ways out. And if you ever need to talk, or just escape a little by playing GTA or SWTOR, don't hesitate to talk! You don't have to face everything alone, and you have every right to take time for yourself. Cheer up, and know that you have people who support you. ^^
