Languissant or Lan, being the head developers favorite of a new strain of insectile saurian/sapien hybrids, is as her name implies languid, bored, and un enthused most of the time, often only coming out of her suite to get snack or shop as one of a few whos can leave the facility.

While she and others like her were initially developed as biological weapons they were soon created with more civilian needs in mind, they grow and mature at the rate of most animals but have what is effectively human cognizance, speech, intelligence, and over all behavior, she is 25 now, and may live as long as some species of birds.
Lan has a mix an match genome and is unlike most of her colleges having thicker, smooth skin and an over all pearlescent shine as a result of her unusual genetics she has a form of leucism which made her eyes a silver grey any color shown is a refraction of light on her skin or cosmetic, her flesh and blood is unusually blue and is likely why the lab requests samples so regularly, She can open her mouth much wider than her ceratopsian counterparts as her lower mandible is bifurcated similarly to an insects in appearance alone as it's only an dexterous as a parrots beak on either side. she has an affinity for dark clothing and music as well as cosmetics and art if she makes the time.

Others like her as well as some of the science dept. assume she has a bad attitude. While she can be blunt and even snarky at times what usually happens in actuality is the way she speaks is simply different, and getting misinterpreted, conversation is not lost on her however, in reality she thinks in a more literal way and kidding with her will often be misunderstood or simply treated like any other conversation, she does have a sense of humor but it's often dark or in refence to media she's seen, self image, or a personal interest, if she doesn't think some thing was funny she will either forget to laugh, respond in a matter of fact way as if she did not see it was humor, or simply smile, she does not laugh for the comfortability of others unless they are a close friend, with that in mind she does share and have a tremendous amount of empathy for those who befriend her and would never let any one she cares about down it does take quite a long time for her to feel comfortable with people and make friends but when she does she is very loyal.

She lives in a personal suite attached to the head developers office he often visits with her but she does not feel he has good intentions and is simply housing her to keep a thumb on her, sometimes making her feel like a bug under glass.

Over all she is languid and reluctant to be social, takes a long time to make friends, but has a few to which she's very loyal, she has a dark sense of humor, is often misunderstood, and can be too blunt, if set to a task will complain but get the job done and done right regardless of how little she wants to.
