Original Species: The Glob Lizard
Glob Lizards are fairly common, herbivorous lizards that can be found both on the continent of Elysium and Arcadia. They reach up to 4 feet in length (around 120 cm) and have convergently evolved with Spitter Drakes, developing an organ that produces a sticky liquid that the lizard can then spit at whatever creature threatens it.
Unlike the Spitter Drakes, Glob Lizards use their... "goop", purely for defensive purposes. While sticky, the substance is nowhere near as potent as that of the drakes and dissolves rather quickly. It does, however, provide the lizard with enough time to scamper away to safety, especially if it manages to hit the opponent in the face or legs.
Glob Lizards primarily feed on leafy plants, such as ferns, but if given leafy veggies (like cabbage or spinach) they will gladly consume them. On rare occasions, when they need some extra energy, they will consume small amounts of fruit or berries, though too much of that type of food has been noted to upset their stomachs.
Some people try to keep them as pets, though their spitting habits are a deterrent for most reptile keepers.
